You. Are. A. Phenomenal. Writer.

I. Crap. You. Not. (There's a story behind this comment, but just take it for what it is and laugh.)

"...centered around women who post pics of themselves to be “rated” by the community. I. Shit. You. Not." This is how Facebook got started at Harvard!

So much of this stuff is based on a very desperate psychological need for attention of any kind. The ones who do not have this need do not do such things.

And why do they have this need? That’s what I want to know. As always, thank you, David.

Very true. We've been psychologically primed by tech companies (there are other words for them, but I was taught to be polite - and mostly am) to need validation every single second of the day. Hence phones in hands all the time and the desperate mental urging from everyone (well, most people) to "notice me, notice me, notice me." It's alarming what this has already done to society. I daresay it will get more alarming still in the years to come.

Your perspective is spot-on. It’s frightening to contemplate the situation escalating, especially with the knowledge that these self-obsessed dolts can vote.

Sherry!! Thanks for this brilliant, new post. I missed you!! I'm 67-years-old and stopped wearing makeup twenty years ago. The seventies were all about "the natural look" . Everything had to be natural. Haha. I don't give a flying fuck what anybody thinks of my face or body. I'm rocking this stage of life!! Love ya!

P.S. Five weeks since I had a toke or alcohol!. Things are good. I have energy and am doing things I've procrastinated for years!!

My pleasure. I had/have much more to say. Suffice to say there's an entire universe of YouTube videos about why men have just given up. The best one's are the women screaming "where have all the men gone!" I gave up dating about 2.5 years about after one-too-many psycho, narcissistic drunks. It's just not worth the hassle. Keep writing about this. You're good at it and part of an ever-growing chorus of women asking the same question. There are MANY good men out there who, like me, want committed relationships--they're just impossible to find.

I would love to hear more. I find your perspective fascinating. Yet, I'm not surprised. You can bet I'll keep writing about it. Thanks a million, Chaos.

That's kind of you. Of course, you know I am full of (mostly) un-popular opinions. I can tell you exactly what's wrong with them. I'll just do a listicle in the interest of brevity:

1. Wave after wave of idiotic feminism solidifying misandry lead by the most anti-women in history, Gloria Steinem. (Sorry!)

2. This is a generation of women raised without fathers--see above. Any cursory glance at YT or Tik-Tok will demonstrate how they brazenly express their hatred of men--(see the whole raised without fathers thing.) Despite the fact that men built all the things they gleefully enjoy. (Credit to women where credit is due, of course.)

3. Their single moms were busy holding down the fort and looking for another man, thus too busy to parent their daughters.

4. An entire generation of kids raised on porn and electronic pimps happy to exploit these desperate to be validated kiddos. Told by the "woke" "feminists" that high body counts and stripping were "empowering."

5. A deeply narcissistic, vapid, and vacuous culture that only values looks and youth, not virtue or morality or loyalty or self respect can only produce these hollow people.

6. They are incredibly spoiled and entitled. They have spent their entire lives being told they are Goddesses and Princesses and deserve everything without doing anything.

Now, you can find them all crying on YT wondering where all the men went? You told us you hated us. We listened. You get the idea.

Am I in the ballpark? (Aren't you sorry you asked?)

When you spend the kind of money these women do to look that way, I guess you need reassurance that it was worth it. I saved a fortune growing up when I did. The only times most of us put on makeup in high school was for our senior photos or to go to a dance. The natural look was in. So were Levi’s, flannel shirts, and cute little tops from India. Plastic surgery was limited to nose jobs for those with seriously outsized schnozes and the occasional breast reduction surgery. That’s right kids, reduction. Yeah, My parents sure got off easy with me. My oldest sister(9 years age difference) left for college with a trunk full of outfits for dates and a suede coat. I threw some t-shirts, jeans, sweaters, and a down jacket in garbage bags and was good to go.

I detest that too, Sherry. I have never liked even this idea of wearing skater dresses with deep blouses just to appear cool on social media. I am like what's so wrong with today's generation. Is nudity replacing the sincerity and decency in the society? Sometimes, I felt like I might be growing up super older lol but your article hits the nail on the head. Yes, stop this validation campaign. The pictures today's generation are posting tells me a lot about why I got to disappear after a certain age from social media.

Hello, my friend. You have dignity and self-esteem. You're a strong woman, and, unlike the losers I wrote about, don't need validation from strangers to make you feel good about yourself. It's a scary world we live in and getting scarier all the time. Thanks so much.

This great story story is engaging and juicy as a stylish post and it also has profound meaning for our psychology, not exclusive to women, craving for recognition at a deep level no matter consequences. Thank you for writing it so beautifully. I enjoyed it very much. Great to find your liberal writing here and I look forward to more stories like this.

The problem is that we are in the midst of a huge paradigm shift in human consciousness. Infantile erotic expression is a response to profound spiritual metamorphasis. What we are witnessing on anarchic social platforms are the first indications of cosmic insight. The body is the Portal to the soul.
